When Dad met Mom he was smitten. So smitten that he asked her to marry him everyday for a year. Each time he asked he'd say, "Now, I need an answer, is it yes or no?" And Mom would giggle and say, "Yes or No." It's fair to say that Mom was always cautious in making decisions.

But..once made she committed herself. This year for Christmas she gave Dad a wedding ring. A replacement for the ring she gave him sixty-one years ago, and which was recently lost.
And Dad...he still knew he married the prettiest girl he ever met. During the weeks he was hospitalized he frequently coaxed a smile from his bride with an "I love you" and a wink.
